Client Service Director

Are you our new Client Service Director within Health?

At Ogilvy Denmark, we are looking for a competent, strategic-thinking and digitally minded Client Service Director to head up our healthcare team. Is it you or someone you know?

In this role, you’ll be responsible for your own exciting clients, and you will function as their key advisor in matters ranging from strategy to final execution within the fields of customer experience as well as advertising and communication. You will work with everything from professional communication for HCPs and patient guidance to disease awareness.

In this role, you will…

  • … be the strategic and service-minded advisor to your clients
  • … direct your clients’ campaigns and programs
  • … manage both people and teams
  • … ensure account profitability and client business
  • … drive new business strategy and growth

In detail, it means…

Regulatory Knowledge

  • You will…
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of all relevant codes of practice/legislation governing ethical advertising/media/web-based communication with HCPs, patients and in public

Account Direction

  • You will…
    • Shape the long-term strategic direction of the account and ensure that current activities and budgets provide future opportunities
    • Input into brainstorms and aid development of the strategic and creative direction of your accounts
    • Ensure that programme strategy reflects and takes new opportunities/issues/changes in the external environment of HCPs, patients and in consumer marketing in general into account
    • Be always aware of financial status of accounts
    • Be responsible for account profitability
    • Be responsible for regularly reviewing and providing accurate phasing of budgets to ensure forecast and that capacity- and resource reports are accurate
    • Be responsible for negotiating and establishing financial arrangements with client

Client Liaison

  • You will…
    • Actively participate in the development of client marketing strategy and thinking
    • Maintain social contact with client personnel and regularly check in with them regarding the strategic direction of the account, staffing, issues etc.
    • Establish and maintain a role as consultant/adviser to client in partnership with Creative Director and Medical Strategist where appropriate
    • Be responsible for ensuring that accurate, timely financial management procedures are implemented by the account team

Growing Existing Business & New Business

  • You will…
    • Establish and maintain a good working knowledge of all Ogilvy Denmark and the network’s offerings
    • Identify and follow up new business opportunities within existing client pool
    • Be responsible for identifying new business prospects
    • Be responsible for driving, developing, and presenting at new business pitches

People Management

  • You will…
    • Lead and motivate supervised staff to fulfil their potential and assume responsibility/accountability appropriate to their position
    • Take on line-management responsibilities including conducting appraisal interviews and monitoring of appraisal objectives
    • Make recommendations to CEO regarding staff development and account resourcing respectively
    • Participate in interviewing and recruiting of new staff where appropriate
    • Take an active role in ‘on the job’ training of staff
    • Ensure team understanding of client corporate values and personality profiles of individual clients
